Essential book for anyone working with Autistic childrenJuly 13, 2010 Happy Mom(Kansas) An unbelievable book that is so on target on the issues that Autistic people face. I bought copies for all of my family members and my son's preschool teachers. Grandin lays everything out in a very easy to read and understand format and not only provides the reader with the different challenges facing people who have Autism but how to work with each of these challenges. I've learned so much from this book. I have several books on Autism but this is the only one that seriously makes the cut. I can't wait to see her movie.
autismJune 17, 2010 Grannie King Great Book! I have really enjoyed and learned from reading all of the books by Temple Grandin. The best of all is "Thinking in Pictures" for me. It really helped me understand some of the students.
Classic book on autism and spectrum syndromesMay 24, 2010 B. King Older but wiser views from an autistic adult about what life is like for autistic people. This is a classic and a fascinating read.
Great readMay 11, 2010 C. Van dalen(no. California) Interesting to read about Grandin's life. She has overcome a tremendous obstacle with such wonderful outcomes!
An enlightening look into another worldMarch 22, 2010 GrandmaK(Cincinnati, OH) For anyone who has never understood autism and Asperger's this is a must read. Dr. Grandin has succeeded in explaining her thoughts and actions in a thought-provoking format of short articles. As a mother of a daughter who was diagnosed with Asperger's as an adult, this book finally answers questions I have had for years and gives me deeper understanding about Asperger's. Dr. Grandin's book, "Thinking in Pictures" is very interesting also but this book is the best I have read when it comes to practical understanding of autism and Asperger's.
