A desperate search for her missing brother once again pits Claire Redfield against the terrifying bioweapons of the Umbrella Corporation. Her quest leads her to a remote island where a mad genius has unleashed every grotesque creature at his disposal to stop her from interfering with his horrific agenda.
Catapulted to the bottom of the world, Claire is at last reunited with the man she came to find. Chris Redfield has been fighting a one-man war of his own against Umbrella's most terrifying creations...and is now on a collision course with the man who betrayed the S.T.A.R.S. in Raccoon City. A man who should, by all rights, be dead: Captain Albert Wesker.

The Worst Thing I've Ever ReadOctober 18, 2008 Patrick Carter(Ontario) Although not a die-hard Resident Evil fan, I have always enjoyed the merchandise created for the series. The games are good, the movies are.....alright I guess, and the books were entertaining, fast paced, and incredibly easy to read. So naturally when I reached the final book of the series, I was (at the risk of sounding quite silly) giddy with anticipation. That giddyness was WITHOUT A DOUBT misplaced. The book is by far the worst thing I have ever read. The plot itself is inconsistant, stupid, and blatantly amateurish. The characters in the story, which for the most part mainly include Claire Redfield and a buddy she meets a little ways in (his name is not worth mentioning) as well as her brother, a pschopathic transvestite, and a cyborg version of the loveable backstabbing Albert Whesker.
The Characters themselves are in no way "constructs" as no progression is ever made. There are some minor "flashback" moments, but these are far and few between, and are usually completely irrelevant. The dialogue accompanied with said characters is LAUGHABLE and very cheesy, chalk full of one liners, stupid comments, and a very misplaced "I love you" towards the end.
The pace in the book is quite frankly very odd, and inconsistant. The locations are unrealistic for the series (which is already heavily based on the "fantastic" and "unbelievable"), and the characters travel across the country via jets and military transports (which they already know how to operate thank goodness).
The conclusion of the book is anti-climactic and very loose ended, with a typical "lets go home now, unphased by what has just happened" scenario. Said conclusion leads the reader (or at least I) thinking "alright that was stupid, but I'm sure the next will be better". WRONG! The next book doesn't finish the series. The next book acts as a prelude to the events of number one. A sick joke is it not?
After reading the book I had to recheck the author's name on the spline many times, as I could not believe the same one wrote this book. It was that bad. I would SERIOUSLY recommend that NO ONE read this book. Others have, so you don't have to. Do yourself a favour, and pick up something tasteful.
Okay bookApril 4, 2008 Mango Out of all S.D Perry's RE books, this one was my least favorite. This may have a lot to do with the fact that I'm not too fond of Claire Redfield and she's the main character in it. I absolutely love all the other books, but this one didn't catch my interest like the others.
great bookFebruary 23, 2008 Yvonne M. Steward(round lake beach IL USA) Oh my god let me just say this book totaly rocked. Reading this book was almost as fun as playing the game. I was totally happy. You must check this book out, and all the other books in this series
Super ReaderAugust 31, 2007 Blue Tyson Apparently these are based on the game, which I have never played. A young woman is held captive by a pair of twins who are related to the whole Umbrella thing. They have a very twisted relationship.
She manages to get out, and meets a boy around the area, and they try and escape, dodging monsters.
Elsewhere, the girl's brother, a S.T.A.R.S. member, decides to come looking for her.
The female twin is the carrier of the T-Veronica virus, meaning she can become a superhuman shapeshifter. This is bad news for some.
