Should have sprang for a small... should have spent extra $30 and bought the deluxe with the more authentic black going down the side of the torso. I waited too long...month before Halloween. Many of the online stores had run out. The iron-on pips... please... I found a rank pin set on e-bay for cheap... Since my birthday was that month a friend bought me a cheap communicator pin. Looks heck of a lot better than what is given. I'm a short Chinese girl...5' I bought the medium. Wore high heeled boot and the length is just fine. There is a reason why the lady posing for this product has her arms in that position. In a relaxed position the shoulder area is really saggy. I attached two shoulder pads to each side. In the show they gave Janeway serious shoulder pads too. Looks good now. Since I'm a small person the neck collar was way too wide. Solve that by sewing on a clothing hook set, I jacked it off an old bra. Now it fits well like a uniform ought to. I still wonder if I should have gotten a small though because the back zipper is way too long for my spine so it buckles. The neck hook solution makes the front look great. I wear my hair down to cover up the upper half of that mess. I sewed on a black pouch to hold a toy communicator. All in all I got a great response when I went to a party at my arts college. People said I looked really good! I'm sure even if you do buy the deluxe...which comes with splits near the feet and the black sides... you will need to invest a little extra into it to make it more authentic. Ok... that's my speil.
