Customer Reviews:
Simple construction; detailed painting instructionsJune 28, 2007 S. Peterson(Pittsburgh, PA) This is one of the best-designed kits created by AMT/Ertl. It doesn't suffer from some of the assembly problems found in most of their kits. The two-position wings are a bit of a disappointment, but anything else would add complexity and expense to the kit.
The painting instructions are some of the most complex ever included with a science-fiction kit. While the instructions are more than adequate, use online resources for the best results.
bird of prey reviewJanuary 29, 2007 S. King model is easy to build but does have confusing instructions at the end of the manual. other wise it is a good model and i recommend others to build it
A decent kit of a Klingon shipJanuary 15, 2006 M. Purvis 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is really not a bad model... a reasonably accurate replica of the Klingon "Bird of Prey" ships from the Star Trek series.
The wings can be built in either "cruise" or "attack" positions only. No provision for the "landing" mode is available in the kit, and the wing hinges are not functional... once you choose a wing position, you're stuck with it.
